This book is designed to help those who struggle with finding glory after life’s biggest disappointments. Many times, we are faced with situations in life that we question. We ask “Why Me?”, “Why was I chosen to fight this battle?”, “Why did I have to experience this trauma and turmoil?” I’m here to tell you that your life was designed for you. Every instance you have encountered, was with a purpose. Things and people enter your life for one of two reasons and sometimes both: a lesson or a blessing. The Gift of Pain allows one to regain focus and turn all disappointments into blessings. Instead of asking yourself why you had to experience the pain, redirect the attention to the life lessons you have learned. Focus on the positive. Ask yourself “For every feeling of disappointment or neglect, what exactly was God protecting me from and what was God trying to teach me?”. As a woman of color, I have been faced with adversity or had moments of feeling “less than” or unworthy. I wouldn’t say that I have experienced all that I have needed to experience in life; however, I have experienced enough to form an understanding of my future goals. While I am not a licensed therapist or expert of any kind, I do know that I have experienced enough on dealing with certain situations through life’s experiences. I hope you find value in reading this book and as I write it, it’s being used to self-reflect, heal, and redirect. The sole purpose is to turn trials into triumph and pain into passion. Most importantly, it’s providing me with a moment of therapy as well. Read more
